Two Day Workshops run Saturday and Sunday 9.30am - 4pm
Multi-disciplined fibre artist Anita Peters is offering to share her techniques of making baskets using a variety of natural and found materials located at her unique outdoor garden studio in the beautiful Golden Bay.
The workshop commences with the fundamentals of basic basket construction using cane and willow, before exploring the exciting challenges of incorporating ‘found and foraged' materials gathered from the homestead's woodland garden to create baskets of every shape and form. There is a small materials charge of $20pp. Extra cane and willow is available if you wish to focus on the traditional baskets with a charge for materials according to weight. There is an option to bring along your own wild materials as well as those supplied to trial at the workshop. Information on suitable materials will be sent on enrolment.
If you have previously attended Anita's workshop you are welcome to return for day two to build on your existing skills. Inquire
