Tutor Anita Peters
Multi disciplined fibre artist Anita Peters is offering to share her techniques of making baskets with a variety of natural and found materials at her unique outdoor garden studio in the beautiful Golden Bay.
The workshop commences with the fundamentals of basic basket construction before exploring the exciting challenges of incorporating ‘found and foraged' materials gathered from the local environment to create baskets of every shape and form. Cane and willow are available to make a traditional basket if preferred.
Some of these workshop dates are flexible e.g. Friday and Saturday or inquire for a dates that will coincide with your personal itinerary.
The location for this workshop is at the private historic homestead of Fairholme, set in an idyllic rural setting which has a unique garden and surrounds. East Takaka is a one and a half hours scenic drive from Central Nelson.
